Loved the area, good base for visiting the lakes and lots of local walks. Enjoyed daily breakfast choices and sitting in the garden listening to all the birds. Room was clean and comfortable and most of the staff were welcoming and attentive.The Dinner choices were very good but there is room for improvement; including veg with main meal instead of separate. Liked idea of drink iniciative for less room cleans to reduce carbon footprint as/when required by guests. Comfortable bed and complimentary toiletries.

During the day staff were very professional but by night some staff were very nervous and therefore totally unproffessional and miserable. The service would begin to fall apart in the evening at this point and staff lost control, undermining each other in front of guests and some staff came across totally rude on a couple of occasions.to guests when unable to cope, this impacted on us and as a result we ate at the restaurant less often. Too much action going on at the corner of the bar and handled by only one staff member ( checking in, taking food orders, buying drinks etc) resulting in lengthy ques and obstructions at times. Car park was quite congested for residents due to other guests who dined only taking spaces.

The property was in a good location Parking was very expensive £20 a night When I stayed across the road at holiday inn a few weeks prior car park was £7 for the night. The mattresses in the rooms where worn and the springs coming through,,start hurting your back so you can’t sleep at night. Booked for 6 people and there was only two double beds. Very disappointed with this place would not recommend to people

Well, they charge fifty pounds as soon as the passenger enters, and they give it back later... and this is not true... I didn't have a car and twice this money was deducted from me for parking due to the staff's mistake or maybe on purpose... I have mentioned that my money send it back... and we are back from the trip and I am checking my bank account and waiting…

We were with children, and there was arguing and people running up and down stairs it was past midnight. Honestly, I'm not a mardy bum, and I love a good drink put there was people still in the bar past midnight. We literally heard everything.
